We want you to be able to access the best possible care for your pet and to help we have introduced competitive fixed prices for most of our surgeries.

We intend to be open and honest with you about the costs that will be incurred for your pet’s veterinary treatment, and we will discuss these costs with you prior to any treatment occurring.

Payment

A payment of 50% of the estimated cost of surgery is required prior to treatment and the balance when your pet is discharged unless a direct insurance claim payment to the clinic has already been arranged. Please visit our Pet Insurance page.

Payment is required in full following any consultation or investigation.

We accept payment by major credit or debit cards and via bank transfer.

Prices at Coast Vets

Fixed price procedures:

Unless otherwise stated all fixed-price procedures include:

  • Initial consultation
  • Pre, and immediate post-operative radiographs when indicated
  • Surgery and overnight care (1 night)
  • Three weeks post-operative medication (except for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications dispensed by your vet that we do not stock)
  • Six-week follow-up examination with radiographs if required

All prices include VAT.

Under certain circumstances, where a dog has cruciate rupture in both stifle joints, we may perform TPLO surgery on both legs at the same time.

Please contact us if you require an estimate for a procedure that is not included on our fixed price list.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, additional costs may arise if the treatment plan needs to change. We will endeavour to communicate any changes with you where possible but in exceptional circumstances, the need and safety of your pet may preclude this.

Our fixed price procedures do not include:

Preoperative blood tests, any follow-up appointments or medications provided by your own vet, treatment or management of any non-orthopaedic health issues e.g. brachycephalic breeds, concurrent orthopaedic conditions requiring treatment, pre-assessment CT scans (where required), anaesthetic complications, post-operative vomiting or regurgitation requiring treatment, hospital stays of more than one night, any follow up appointments and radiographs needed other than the scheduled six-week assessment, post-operative complications including but not limited to those related to dressings and casts that may have been placed following surgery, post-operative infection, and implant-related problems.
